Heikki Rasilo is a singer-songwriter born in a small town in Finland. After playing in Finnish bands since a young age, he started writing original material while living in Spain and later in Belgium. Now his pictorial songs tell stories about unique people, often caught up in conflicting life situations – an old circus artist struggling for his dignity (as in Circus Song) or a man on a snowy battlefield tormented by guilt (Song for a Brother). Captivating vocal melodies, smooth but unpredictable chord progressions, and a variety of guitar styles drive his music. His first EP, “Before I’m Covered”, was released in 2017.
I play the (electric) piano & organ in the Heikki Rasilo band, and on this album.
