The SAIRE aimed to accelerate the use of smart devices and AI in rehabilitation and healthcare in general, this by 1) informing the healthcare sector and existing barriers (such as limited knowledge, reliability, acceptance rate) and 2) translating, combining and validating existing knowledge that enables the technological sector proposes to jointly develop software, hardware and finished products tailored to healthcare institutions.

My team developed an AI Model to provide real-time visual and auditory feedback and deliver relevant information for the therapists.  Thanks to a depth camera installed on the walker, we were able to extract and recognise relevant data depicting foot contours and providing insights into the walking process/behaviour.
